Mary Agim

Partner/Facilitator

Mary Agim is a partner/facilitator for Charis Consultants Limited. She was the former Manager of Lagos School of English and Mathematics Ltd (LASEM). Her BA and MA degrees in English are from the University of Lagos.

She is a British Accreditation Council (BAC) accredited facilitator for Access Bank PLC.

Mary also obtained her Train-the-Trainer Basic certificate from the Centre for Management Development, Magodo.

She is awaiting her PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) results from NTI (National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna), and she has an Ordinary National Diploma in Secretarial Administration from College of Technology, Benin (affiliated to the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State).

Mary has facilitated in various programmes, including training for Access Bank PLC; Cornerstone Insurance; WAPIC insurance; the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) through LASEM. She assisted LASEM in Coordinating its Training sessions and the assessment of participant’s group work for the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM); the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) and The central bank of Nigeria, in Nigeria, the Gambia, Ghana, and Liberia.

Catherine Effiom

Partner/Facilitator

Catherine Effiom is a partner/facilitator for Charis Consultants Limited. She is a veteran of the Lagos School of English and Mathematic Ltd

(LASEM). She holds a Bachelor of Agric/Ext Services degree from the University of Calabar, and an Executive MBA at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

She is also a British Accreditation Council (BAC) accredited facilitator for Access Bank PLC.

Kate has both the Basic and Advanced Train-the-trainer certificates from the Centre for Management Development. She has taught at various programmes, including training for Access Bank PLC.

Other organizations she has taught for in Communication Skills workshops are the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), WAPIC, the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).

She has facilitated in various countries: Nigeria, the Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.

Professor Oko Okoro

Partner/Facilitator

Professor Okoro is a partner/facilitator for Charis Consultants Limited. He is a graduate of the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he obtained his BA, MPhil, and PhD degrees in English. He is a well- known master grammarian, who makes grammar – a subject that many consider boring and too technical – enjoyable and exciting.

Professor Okoro has over 35 years of university teaching and research from May 1985. He has facilitated regularly in Communication Skills workshops/seminars for well over 15 consultancies in Nigeria, in over ten banks, including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); the West African Institute for Economic and Financial Management (WAIFEM); several newspaper houses; accounting firms; law chambers; tax, audit, and credit rating firms; the National Pension Commission (PENCOM); churches; the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission; several top secondary schools.

He has also facilitated in Cote d’Ivoire, the Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone. Professor Okoro has been a resource person at various times for the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN); the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); the West African Examinations Council (WAEC); and the British Council.

He is a British Accreditation Council (BAC) accredited facilitator for Access Bank PLC., where he facilitates regularly. He also has the Basic Train-the-trainer certificate from the Centre for Management Development, Magodo Lagos.
